[W126 Coupe] Bonnet / Hood insulation is shot 87 560SEC

BTW, if you clean off the old pad (get goggles, a dust mask, a plastic scraper, and a tarp and it's easy) a body shop will put the new one on proper (take off the hood, lay it upside down and then put on the pad) for like $30. At least that was my experience.

Hood pad for the SEC is more than for the SEL--about  $75 + S/H. Buy the General Trim Adhesive by 3M P.N. 08088 which I bought at Advance Auto for $14 and use most of the can. Get a cheap drop cloth or tarp in paint area W.mart, Big Lots about $1. Jim Alex
