[W126 Coupe] AC Blower not working

One last thing (forgot to tell you), the wood on the front of the
pushbuttons just pulls off - straight back. With that gone, you can whack
the switch mounting plate - maybe with a screwdriver handle. 

 

It sounds very likely that it isn't the bad solder joints but this is the
last thing I could think of to test it other than a disassembly. If this
doesn't do it for you, then suggestions from the other folks will be needed
to take you forward.
