The barrel link is a spring loaded thing - there is no adjustment! Have your
wife hold the throttle on the floor (engine preferably off for this step)
and with the air cleaner off, push down on the link leading to the
butterfly. If it's like most of our cars, it will move a little bit and you
can watch the barrel link extend a little.

Mike, are you saying that the original barrel link can't be lengthened
(adjusted) enough to get WOT?
