[W126 Coupe] Changing Front Seats In 1982 SL

Can anyone tell me if the front seats on a 1982 380 SL can be interchanged?  You know how the front seat gets more wear than the passengers side.  Can I take both cushions off the frame and swap them around?  Or can the entire seat and assembly be swapped around?  I'm putting all new carpet in and have to take the seats out so why not change them around to get longer life.  Thanks
