[W126 Coupe] Rubber for Console

I like the idea of a pourable mold although I have no experience with that.  I will ask around.  For now, I plan to  make a wooden backing from a thin piece of wood that is cut out to fit the hole and just smaller than the rubber piece and glue the rubber to the new wood cutout and then glue the wood to the underside of the console.  This would be stronger than the original.   I have already made a template.  Just need to get some wood or plastic that is thin enough to fit yet strong enough to last.
   
  Anyone wants the template for the wood let me know.  I could easily make several awhile making one.  Send request to my private email at calvinyoung at cox.net just to be safe.  
   
  I have to leave town to cover the Gala opening of the Muhammid Center in Louisville this weekend and then there is Thanksgiving, but I hope to finish the job up when I get through those things.
