Re: [W126 Coupe] How much reserve? and other thoughtsThanks Malcolm and all,
This answers my question at 23.8 gallons. Consistent with my light coming on and filling up shortly there after with 20.5 gallons.
Thanks,
John

Hi All,
Talbir makes a good point: Liters/Gallons/US/Imperial...... and Axel is correct.
Call me lazy, but here in the US, all our gasoline pumps are calibrated in gallons, so I think gallons. US ones when I try to figure out gas mileage, how far I can go before I need to find a gas station, etc.
"My 86 560 SEC certainly does not. More like 21 gals, I think.

I don't think we're at 27 US gallons capacity with a stock car.
The tech manual shows a 90 Liter capacity / 12.5L "Reserve" which in my eyes would indicate at what fuel level the low fuel light comes on. So, total fuel capacity in my bone stock US spec SEC equates to 23.8 gallons, with the low fuel light coming on when there is but 3.3 gallons remaining (as I believe Jonathan pointed out earlier).
Cheers, Malcolm Lee
