Is there a third option? My SE carries 83 liters.

Talking about capacity and gallons reserve is meaningless - the w126
came
with two options for short range and long range fuel tanks (i think 90
litres and 75 litres respectively).

And why use gallons - are you talking US or Imperial ?

Best to use a universal metric measurement - I would have thought 12
litres
is a simple measure, as stated in the owners manual. Infact all MB
owners
manuals usually talk in litres for all capacities(fuel, oil, coolant
etc)

And then Euros will go more miles on their reserve than the US cars etc
etc....too many variables.
