Does that mean a new transmission is needed or is a broken band repairable?  I forgot to mention that I started having trouble with the transmission after I had a neutral safety switch installed. After the part was installed the car would literally jerk whenever I put it in gear for reverse or drive.  Thats also when the wheel spin issue started at takeoff.  I took the car back and they told me they didnt touch the transmission but did attempte to figure out what the issue was.  I had none of these problem before taking the car to the repair shop to have the part installed.
