You may have broken a band; I have a transmission in my garage same issue.
Thought it was the B2 piston but unfortunately not the case.

Dennis,

 

No, I am not able to reverse the car either.  There was a time earlier that
day when the rear wheels seem to be spinning in place.  I would hit the gas
pedal and the car would barely move but I could hear a rumbling with the
rear wheels.
