[W126 Coupe] Question- Windsheild Wipers

My '84 380SL ad '91 560SEC are parked on different sides.

  I just bought a 1982 380 SL, the wipers are positioned on the drivers side when turned off.  Is that correct?  My SEC also a 380 has them stopped on the passenger side.  What's right?
