It sounds like a possible fuel pump relay that is going bad. Possibly bad
joints.

Mike,
I'll try the two time technique. I've tried turning the key on and waiting
for around ten seconds before trying to start but still takes the same
amount of
time. (I was told if there was a leak down or weak pump this would confirm
it.) I've even tried holding the pedal all the way down when starting, but
all
this does is to cause the engine to rev up momentarily when it does catch.
I've
had this hard start problem for around a year and have pretty much learned
to
live with it. It is, however, a little embarassing when there are people
near
and they turn to look when they hear this thing cranking and cranking.
