  I value your opinions here, so I've got a question.  We are looking for midsize sports coupe or roadster, and one option that is quite enticing is a 2001 porsche carrera 4.  Anyone have any personal experience with these cars?  Anyone have any opinions on used porsches in general?  Would it be a better idea to just buy the 2005 997 carrera (2wd)?  in the context that we were originally looking at the slk 350, sl500, and the Porsche boxster; the SL and 997 being a stretch of the budget, whereas the boxster or SLK would be a perfect fit.
