[W126 Coupe] Cost of Ownership

At 18MPG that would be 833 gallons for 15 thousand miles.
At an average of $1.75 per gallon that would be $1458 for gas.
So you have spent over $6000 in maintenance in the past 15,000 miles?
Plus the additional $4200 for repairs and major services.

Is this regular maintenance or was major work done in this period
(engine/tranny rebuild?)

I am interested in the cost of properly maintaining these cars so that
major rebuilds can be forestalled. (Gives me time to save up for that!)

Is this work being done by a dealer?

Chris
