Subject: [W126 Coupe] Fuel Leak
My wife's 1986 560 SEC has a fuel leak where a black plastic device is
attached to the fuel distributor (the metal piece that has 8 lines going
to the cylinders). The Fuel distributor ( ? ) is a remanufactured Bosch
that has a tag 0438 101 018, and the plastic piece with an electrical
connection has a cast-on number -2437020007. There is a leak where the
plastic piece mounts to the side of the fuel distributor with 2 screws.
There doesn't seem to be a gasket, and the screws are tight (I don't
want to ruin it by over tightening). There is fuel under pressure at
that connection.
Anyone have any idea what I should do. Do I replace the plastic thing or
what? << File: ATT22267.txt >>
