I was under the impression that any 1 pound extinguisher will fit. Is
this not the case?

Yes I would be interested in this also, along with the extinguisher.
Let me know if you run across one or two. I did try to get one on EBAY a
few 
weeks back. Lost though, Oh well.

Is there any way to buy the fire extinguisher bracket that you could get
for the W126 in Europe? Nobody seems to know for sure if this is
possible or not.
