Avoid the big name tire shop chain stores like the plague. A proper tire shop would never use an impact gun to tighten lug nuts. A good way to spot a proper shop is to check the cars pulling in and out. One such shop in NJ is Eurotire in Fairfield. Very professional, enthusiast owners who are plugged into the sports racing scene. They know their business and I drive halfway across the state to use them and have been doing so for years. Parking lot always full of Porsches, Benzs, BMW's, Audi's, and the occasional exotic. All states have such shops if you look. You get what you pay for.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated in any way with Eurotire. Just a satisfied customer.

I've used air tools my entire career as a technician, and I've also used torque wrenches for exactly the same length of time. Air tools are great time savers when tearing down a car, or reassembling. But I was taught at a very young age by people who knew what they were doing, that they are NEVER to be used for final tightening, that was what torque wrenches were for. I own three Snap-on torque wrenches, a 3/8" drive graduated in inch pounds, a 3/8" that covers 15-100 ft./lbs., and a 1/2" drive to handle 50-300 ft./lbs. That way I've got all the bases covered.

                   Later,
                   Chris

Always torque lug bolts with a torque wrench to specs (or any nut or bolt for that matter), there's less chance of screwing up things if you follow a few basic rules of mechanics.
