[W126 Coupe] Head Gasket Blown

What's just the labor of putting a new engine in? PGauto has an engine
with 103k miles on it for $1500. That's their most expensive one. The
others range from 950 to 1400.

I found a used moter and chose that route rather than total rebuild.
$1200 
less starter, alt and AC.  All esle there.  All OK.  Started immediately
and 
runs great.  A gamble that paid off for me.
