Good luck getting over $18K for the 91 with 100K. My last SEC purchase
was two years (maybe 3) ago a 91 560 SEC black/black chrome wheels, H&R
springs, upgraded sound system and only 93K on the clock, and I paid
$14,500.

btw..I am in Northern Cal and just in this last week or so I have seen
3-4 SECs I hadn't seen before on my drive to and from work. Makes me
wonder how many of the US Sales were to CA.
I did have a 1980 Rover SD1 (3500). Only 800 or so came into the US in
total, all in 1980, all to CA. Unfortunately it caught fire and burnt
to the ground (they had a tendency to to do that).

As spring arrives and I unbutton my '91 560sec I couldn't help compare

The similarities are interesting;

It seems certain areas of the country are "hot zones" for SECs.
FL, NY & New England, CA...
There may be a state in between with none!
Prices in New England seem to run much lower than elsewhere-
I have seen 91s for 10-12.
Undestandable since they use a lot of sand/salt, so unless car
is garaged every year...

Isn't the point of a helicopter that when you land you come in

Good luck getting over $18K for the 91 with 100K. My
last SEC purchase was two years (maybe 3) ago a 91 560

$14,500.

Was that Tri-Star Pete? There was a brief article in the current Star
Mag
on him.
The guy sold the yard and crushed 600 of the 800 classics..

I know there is (at least was) a guy in Arizona that
had pretty much anything you could need for old MBs. I
am not sure of the name, but ran into a guy here that
was restoring an old 50's MB and that is where he got
most of his stuff.
