What year is your becker? Pre 90s becker didn't support cd changers.
Just do what I am working on right now, inset the new radio about 1 inch in,
saw the face off of the becker, and clip it in when not using it.
Or if you want, I have 2 early 90s alpines (excellent audio, and built in
amps) I could sell to you. Both in lightly used condition. The nicer one
is completely black, black buttons etcetera, and the only thing that sticks
out is the volume control.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] trunk mounted CD
Has anybody been able to build in a trunk mounted CD player to work with
the original Becker Grand Prix that came in the pre-86 cars? I suppose
you would have to install a separate toggle to select it if it can be
done at all, though once I get some free time my ashtray will be a
switchboard anyways (toggle from air horns to regular, on/off and
warning light for laser jammer, still gotta put in a toggle for the aux
fan). Short of this, has anybody found a radio that looks decent in
these cars? Everything I see nowadays looks too gaudy and modern IMHO. I
suppose a Mexico pro might look ok, but that's a bit of a stretch even.
