Maybe I'm pointing out the obvious to you, but try some heavier grease?
WD40 is good for cleaning, terrible for lubrication.

I knew there was a REAL test involved here.
I had that same problem with a 4 door and is turned out to be trailing
arm bushings. I never replaced them but I isolated the culprit with WD-40
sprayed on the pivot points. The squeak stopped but temporarily.
Another thing to look at is the subframe mount bushings. Left and right
just forward of the wheels.
Other than that, I'd be guessing.

anyone tell me why I have a very noticable "squeek" in the left rear when I
rock the car. It almost sounds like the left rear spring or shock.
Any ideas?

Mike.
