Dick,

I had posted a message about your problem.  I got to thinking that you may 
look at crutchfield.com   They have really good wiring harness for cars.  I 
have an 87 420sel and it took all of 10 mins to hook up using there harness 
kit.  On my 88 560 it was a bit more complicated as the 560 has a goofy 
wiring set up where as the 87 420 was power, antenna hook up, two speaker 
connections and hooking the common ground wire.  You might look over there 
at there website and check the picture of the harness kit.  This may 
simplify you problem.
