I'm sure some other people here still have the 14 inch wheels, and not wanting to special order the $225/tire and $379/tire Michelins from Coker, find themselves with a limited number of choices: just two. There's the marketed as high performance Sumitomo HTR 200 (which came highly recommended AGAINST by my tire guy...who's not your typical tire guy, he races a BMW 2002 and is a track day driving instructor for BMW CCA) so instead I went with the marketed for their comfort and quiet Firestone Affinity LH-30's. I'm am thoroughly impressed with these tires. They are very quiet and smooth (even though I have them at 34 psi F and 36 psi R) but more importantly they handle superbly. Much better than the Pirelli P4000's I used to have and the Bridgestone RE92's I had after that. It's not a small difference either. On curves where the other tires squealed the whole way around these will do the same curve 10mph faster without making a chirp. Even when I made a 90 degree turn sliding through sand, the slide through the sand was very controlled and they made the turn without a hitch. Since there are only two choices in this size I figured I'd let people with this size know about the Firestone's to make the choice easier.
