Jim, I only hope to also lead you in other directions from past postings. Adjustments at the trans modulator by removing a rubber cover reveals two screws. One either moves shift points or shift hardness. Another area affecting gear shifting has to do with a linkage tied in with the throttle linkage. How is that info for being vague?! Satish can certainly shed some light on this darkness I just offered or you may already know about which I speak. Just trying to be helpful. Jim Alexander

Does anyone know if a bad throttle position switch can
hinder the engine in the upper rpm range?  My engine
hts a wall at 5,000 rpm and will rev no further.  Any
ideas?  How do you test the TPS to make sure it is
working properly?
