[W126 Coupe] Need help with wheel offset

Hi,

You don't mention the width of the wheels - however, I am guessing from the 
tyre sizes that the wheels are 8.5J fronts and 10J rears ?

If they are the sizes above, then the wheels will work.

On the fronts the following will work :

8J       et 11-25
8.5J    et 18-25

and on the rear :

8J       et 11 - 25
8.5J    et 18-25
9J       et 15-25
10J     et 15-25
10J     et 17 - 25

So provided your car is not lowered too aggressively, the above will 
generally work on the w126.

The lower the width of the wheel, the lower the offset number should be to 
bring the wheel out further to the arch...but once width starts getting big, 
then offset number needs to increase slightly to prevent inner rim of wheel 
rubbing against suspension/inner bodywork.

Tyre sizes ought to be 245/40 on an 8.5J x 18 wheel front, and 275/35 is 
spot-on for a 10J x 18 wheel in the back.
