That's interesting Jim. I'll have a look at the bolts and compare them to the three or four spare sets to see how the seat that meets the wheel differs.

Sorry, Dick, I didn't explain myself very clearly.

On the OEM bolt, at the bottom of the bolt head, there is a spherical-shaped seat which rests against the wheel, developing the clamping force which holds the wheel against the hub (disc rotor). On the Lorinser wheel, the spherical seat isn't used. Instead, a cone-shaped seat at the bottom of the bolt clamps against the matching seat on the wheel.

The conical seat seems to be more popular from the wheels I've noticed through the years, but from what I can tell, Mercedes always seems to have used the spherical seat. I'm puzzled that Lorinser would have chosen to use the conical seat, given that they are a Mercedes-specific aftermarket wheel. Maybe that was their attempt to make sure the proper-length bolt was used (it should be supplied by Lorinser), though I'm sure lug bolts with the wrong type have seat have been used plenty often enough. (By the way---Lorinser's supplier said the bolts originally WERE supplied with the wheels, though I received none from my seller).
