Hi Rick:
Sorry about the ambiguity in that last post. It's late, plane delayed, and
I am just getting home and feeling somewhat 'fried'. I was running a set of
18X8 wheels with a 35mm offset on the 83 SEC. The rear fitment was perfect
with 20mm spacers. The front fitment was perfect with 10mm spacers BUT, the
front spacers on the early model I have had to be cut making for a less than
perfect ride unless the wheels were stage torqued and spun as you worked the
bolts in place. Anyway, I am now on a factory set of Lorrinser's and the
offset, spacer thing is now a thing of the past for me.
Hope this helps to clarify what you might expect when mounting a set of
18's. Of course, if you have an 86 or later model the hub-centric solution
should fit all around using the above dimensions. I'd say there is no way
the 35mm will bolt right on without the need for spacers. You can always
try my former 35mm set on for size with and without the spacers. I am just
South of Boston.
