[W126 Coupe] Replacement Steering Boxes

It has an adjustment? I don't have free play (the tiniest turn of the steering wheel slightly turns the wheels), but the first little turn in each direction is more loose than the rest (i.e. there is a little play where the steering isn't tight, but it is effective). I understand that this is the norm, but I'd like to get rid of it if there is an adjustment.

What "problems" are you having?
Too much free play? The box does have an adjustment if it hasn't been adusted many times before. And have you checked tie rod ends, particularly at the box arm?
Oil leaks from the steering box? All the seals can be renewed.
