Sylvania silverstars are ricer junk, and even sylvania when pressed will tell you they put out no more light, it's just bluer so it tricks your eyes...which in turn causes them to contract more than they should and reduces the distance you can see at night. If you want the real deal get Osram silverstars. Yes I know the company is Osram-Sylvania, but the osram silverstars are a totally different bulb from sylvania silverstars.

The SEC will handle the bulbs just fine if...... you make sure all connections are clean and put in four new white fuses for the headlight circuits (to get excellent contact with the fuse block). Like Eddie's, my 100/80's have been in there for several years now in the Euro headlights and no problems so far.

I have been using H4 Bosch 100/55 for years. (I believe standard is 60/55) I have ended up with a new pair of 100/80.

Has anyone had a problem using that wattage?

I know that Peugeot headlight switches melt, but if you own a Peugeot, melting headlight switches are likely the least of your problems.
