The chains in the M119's seem to hold up better then in our beloved
M117's. A friend of mine sold his S500 w/ over 200K, every year he
had the chain inspected and it never fell out of spec.
One thing to be weary of is the recommended service interval can be
little on the sparse side.. See what you can find for frequent oil
changes. Also, find the build date on that car, the early 5 speeds
are known for being problematic.
The biggest problem w/ these 140's are electrical gremlins. When
black boxes break, and the often do, it's rather pricey.
We're actually going to get rid of our 96 S600 w/ 34,000 miles...
