You still have to worry about emissions even if it's a diesel. EPA still
wants to know it meets US standards, which means it needs to be tested once
it's imported. California, Granola Land for sure, Dude, makes you have it
tested to make sure it meets standards, but there are no California licensed
diesel testing facilities, but once they have proof that it is a diesel,
they never want to see it again - can you spell "catch-22"? SNAFU for sure.

I still think VIN'ing this car w/ US bits is by Far the easiest way to
go..Hell, make it a diesel and you won't have to worry about
emissions;-)
