I'm running a 3.27 diff with my 6.0 32v.  It has limited-slip and is from a euro 380SL as far as I know.  The original Gleason-Torsen was toast.  Highway cruising is definitely "fun" I would say.  Blasts from 60-80 and quick passes and merges are amazing.  I have no problems with having to fill up more frequently as the car only gets 3-4 days/month of driving and that's in the cool months.  I put in a half a tank per fill so I can keep the gas fresh.  As daily driver I wouldn't recommend it.  I had a 2.82 when I had the euro 560 motor and that was a perfect compromise for being a daily driver.
