Mike, according to the gtech website, they are all g-tech pro's. The
oldest is the G-tech Pro, then the G-tech Pro Competition, and now they
have two models the G-tech pro SS and the G-tech Pro RR. The escort
version (escortradar.com) might actually be a good balance since it's
$199 ($100 cheaper than the g-tech SS) but it's still fairly modern.

That looks like a straight G-Tech, not a "Pro" but yep, that's the toy.
They
are supposed to be accurate to around 1/10 second on acceleration and a
couple of feet on deceleration. The "Pro" version, I believe, has a
removable power cord but looks the same. The Pro is easier to use but if
cost isn't a concern, I'd really like to try one of their new LCD units.

I've used a Pro and it did a good job of testing several SECs on the
empty
road out behind my neighborhood. Not much effort setting up the
instrumentation, then off you go.
