[W126 Coupe] More oil

Or just replace the lower pan. IIRC it's not too expensive (I may be
needing to do this. I think I got a defective pan as a replacement when
I bottomed out. This one has warped at the bottom and the threads aren't
very good after just 1 year).

Ken,

Why don't you just get a new drain plug for the pan and use any means
possible short of a torch to remove the old plug? Vise Grips are great
for this type work if the nut is already screwed up.

Got a manual pump to remove oil from the engine via the dipstick
tube on the weekend. Came from the local boat shop at AU$29. Effective
but slow. I managed to get 6.6 litres out before the pump sucked only
air. My guess is that about a litre of the old oil remained. Put in
new oil so it's not quite a full change. I'll have to be satisfied with
that for the present.

Learned two things. 2 Put the rear wheels higher than the
front to move all oil to front of motor. 2. Pump out with the oil as
hot as you can handle.
