Brake discs are one of the few things that Mercedes actually make
themselves. They are "cross thatched" and not "spun" like most disc.
That is why we always recommend Balo if purchased from us. Balo is the
only manufacturer that I know of that cross thatches them as well. ATE,
Zimmerman, Textar, etc. are all spun like a record and have a higher
tendency to warp. That has been my experience over the last 30 years of
selling Mercedes parts.
