Question about Philly wasRE: [W126 Coupe] ill tell ya bout these "happy " holidays

Hey Mike, I might be coming up your way at some point for a day trip for a cheese steak and photography. During the day how dangerous is Philly? If you know DC, is it more like SE, NE, or the west side? I'm trying to figure how much of my camera gear I can bring without getting mugged.
