    Thanks Axel for the phone number and name.  Guess this guy is like the soup Nazi from Sienfield.  What you gonna do when he is the only game in town.  
   
  so far the insurance people have not raised the issue.

Sounds like a great car with all the AMG modifications to the engine, the
suspension and the exterior.

As far as I know, you will not be able to get any of the pre-acquisition AMG
parts from a North American Mercedes-Benz dealership.

Barry Taylor bought the entire stock of AMG West when MB bought AMG back in 1993.

You can reach Barry at (510) 235-3990. Be warned that his parts are very
expensive and he has a reputation for being difficult to deal with.

I don’t know what kind of insurance coverage you have, but I fear that
unless you took out a special policy listing all the upgrades to your car
from a standard model, the insurance company will tell you that their
contract only covers a standard car.

I have no idea why the owner put in a 928 valve body (although the appraisal lists it as valvetrain).  that is what I am trying to find out.

You mean valve body? The 928's use an Mercedes automatic.

How come you have a 928 valve body?
