[W126 Coupe] Thermostat R&R for 85 500 SEC

Yes it has the pin off to the side. Another thing
about it is the gasket has to be fitted around the
whole piece, not just set on it. there is a groove on
the inside of the gasket for the metal ring of the
thermostat.

As for cutting the pin? Not sure. Part of me rhinks it
is on there fo a reason. I will let you know about
that. I have seen it in the older cars to gain temp
then fall back once the coolant starts running.
