You all are correct of course - It was AFTER the SL model change over  
from 107 to 129 1990-1. Only for a year or two a wheel that looked  
like the stock 560SEC 15" wheel but was a 16" size used on the 500SL.  
Sorry I got my dates mixed up... (that's what I get for pulling info  
off the top of my head - without looking it up, my expertise is in  
the older models 50-60's). But Rob - the fact is I'm still interested  
in the stock 16" wheels for another one of my cars...
