Have you tried leaving the key in the on position (but not start
position) for about 60 seconds then starting it? Or have you checked
your battery levels?

Subject: [W126 Coupe] Summer starting?
The SEC has had a starting problem the last couple of weeks and it's
been getting a little worse each week.
If it's cold, if fires RIGHT up. If it's been driven a while, up to
normal temperature, it seems to not like the next start - starts,
stumbles, maybe runs, no power and when it's put in gear it stumbles,
quits, then may or may not start. If the car is in a garage/parking
structure, it has restarted fairly easily. I rev it a couple of tims,
then put it in gear and drive away. Park the hot car in the hot sun,
even under the car cover and 1. it fires up but stumbles, quits, then
won't start for a while or 2. it might not start at all, just crank.
Several times it fired right up but had no power - putting it in gear
and it stumbles and quits, then it's VERY difficult to start. Today I
tried to listen for the fuel pumps but no noise.
This didn't seem to happen until I fixed the A/C and now that the A/C is
cold, the car has this problem. Might be coincidence.
Vapor lock or fuel pumps? Which direction should I go in
troubleshooting??
