A couple of comments..

Any discussion regarding the merits of cross drilled rotors should consider whether the holes were actually "drilled" into the rotors upon final machining or "cast" into the rotors upon fabrication. The term "cross-drlled" is universally applied to both but in reality, the cast holes are not drilled. Cast holes are far superior to drilled holes in terms of resistance to cracking. Porsche, and several other high end performance cars wearing so called cross drilled rotors use rotors where the holes were part of the casting process.

Chamfering has many advantages. Some manufacturers use the depth of the chamfer as a wear indicator. Radiusing the chamfer reduces stress risers that exist at any sharp edged metal surface or joint. Remove the stress and you lessen the chance of cracking due to thermal fatique.
