[W126 Coupe] Air Conditioning
a figment of the imagination

1. Which door are we talking about? There's about 4
to 5 hinged doors associated with the heating and
ventilation ports under the dash. Are you suggesting
an intake port somewhere behind the engine's firewall?
Is it a central port? Is it closer to the passenger
side?
I'm curious because I am having the same issue with
the hot air as well. However, most of this hot air
gets diverted to the side doors after tightening up
and properly placing the bottom covers to the
dashboard, which have built in vents that guide the
hot air away and to the doors.
2. Yet, there's some residual hot air coming out of
my upper dashboard windshield vents, little to no air
flow out of the central vents and side vents. What's
up with dat? Shouldn't there be a lot of flow? Why
do MBZ have among the worst A/C systems out there (or
is t his just my newly obtained SEC and my bad luck
with other older benz's)?
help! i'm hot and melting in my car every day at
98-100+ F temps.

P.S. I'll give my $50 R134a conversion kit a blast
after gluing my eyes wide-open to actually RTFM. I'll
go slowly, keeping the pressures gauges in mind.
