I had one of these cars, a 1987. Smoke silver 5sp.  I upgraded the suspension with Bilstein shocks and H&R springs with 16inch tires. Very nice but it could not out perform a 1988 BMW M3. So needless to say I got rid of it.  The parts to upsgrade the motor are crazy expensive to purchase.  And you have to get them from Germany.  I did however do a port and polish job on the head. Anyway, enjoy the car for what it is....
