Very nice, Ellen. You have a very nice (and special) automobile there!
I don't own the W201 Sportline, but I do own a W124, a 1992 300CE
Sportline coupe. She is one of only 30 or 40 imported into North
America in 1992.
Sophie is similarly equiped as yours is. Factory lowered and
stiffened suspension (shorter springs, larger diameter sway bars and
stiffer bushings, stiffer shocks and struts, quicker steering box).
Also, your steering wheel is a smaller diameter. Does yours have the
Sportline badges on the front quarter panels, behind the front wheels?
On your Data Sheet it should show option 952 (Sportline package) and
possibly 281 (steering wheel with sports design and gearshift in
leather trim) and 653 (sports chassis with 8-hole light alloy rims).
We want pictures!
