Knoxville. Where the mountains meet the rivers. Been wet in all of them. Inner-tubed a couple and Yachted a couple. The tubes were more fun. There is also a lot of local knowledge about aluminum with Alcoa Plant. J. Alex

Hello all,

One source for skilled aluminum (heliarc) welders, who also have the skills to properly finish out the welds, are boat prop repair shops. I managed such a shop in the mid-80s, for about two years, and saw some amazing work performed on aluminum props.
These should be easy to find in coastal areas, or areas where there are lots of lakes. We have five large lakes surrounding the area I live in, as well as two major rivers, and there are about seven or eight prop shops in my area. Might be worth looking into.

                         Later,
                   Christopher Huffine
