[W126 Coupe] how to tell an AMG

That friend of mine who likes project cars was looking at this one. I
get a very bad feeling about it. It is reportedly a 1982, but it has a
lot of the signs of a post-1985, and a lot of the signs of a pre-1986.
Plus it has chrome fender trim, looks to need some serious body work,
and was repainted at some point I think. Anyways, the pictures are here,
labeled Mercedes1-9. Oh, and the real question is when looking at it in
person what indicates AMG? I know it's a coupe list, but you guys know
more than anybody else.
