I always get good, no, the best, advice here, and I was planning on
doing what you said (I honestly wasn't going to bother inspecting the
lines, just replace them, but my dad's car is turning 8 so I wanted to
know what to look for since 8 sounds a good time to start inspecting
with every oil change).

That's another thing, looking at my records my rotors are about due. Am
I better off with stock pads and rotors, or with the Axxis Ultimate
(same people who make the metal masters tell me I'll get more bit from
the Ultimate) and the slotted Stoptech rotors or the ATE powerdiscs (and
if aftermarket rotors means I'm better off with aftermarket pads, would
you go with the Stoptechs or the ATE's considering Stoptech is the
distributor for Axxis pads)? Or am I better off with stock pads but
aftermarket rotors?
>Flush the system and put fresh fluid in. MB recommends EVERY year; some
>say every 2 years is enough.
I've been doing every year, until the last time I did every 2 since at
year one he said the fluid was still good (same with at year 2 but I
told him to replace it anyways).
>Pressure bleed. If you or your mechanic did not pressure bleed, all the
>old fluid did not get out.
They did pressure bleed, but I would have had an easier time convincing
my dad to let me do it myself if I didn't have to buy a brake bleeder.
