[W126 Coupe] brake upgrades?

Axxis, aka PBR, tells me the Ultimate pads have more bite than the Metal
Masters so I think next time I'm going to try that.

whole lot more difference than the rotors. Look for pads with a higher 
initial coefficient of friction. Tire Rack will have good suggestions. 
The "racing" or "upgrade" styles often sacrifice this for prolonged 
performance at high temperatures, which does not help you a single inch 
in an isolated panic stop.
