Richard, Your Dad will see a differance in the quality of the mats for sure. I had cocos in my 2002 but were not this level of durability. Mine were already in the BMW when I got it so I don't know the price but dollars were worth much more 30 years ago. I see these as being a bargain for sure. They do stay put and since the dirt goes through the fiber and caught by the very substantial rubber backing you will eventually notice that they stay clean. J ALEX

Yeah, the mats are great. My only complaint (well, I can't complain
since it was free) is that the center console mat has rounded corners,
so in my center console, the plastic is exposed at the corners. My dad
kept saying how the cocomats in his 2002 back in the day were
inexpensive (these are pretty pricey at $160 for a set of 4), but that I
should get them if I want them. I have a feeling when he sees these
he'll note how these are a whole different ballgame from the ones he
had. These don't seem like they will ever flop back at the top like the
original Benz one's did, nor do they slide around at all.
Since I have no problem with hijacking my own thread...is there any
leatherique write up other than the one on the mbcoupes site? I could
have sworn another member had put a write up of his leatherique job on
his personal site. My palomino leather doesn't look so palomino any
more, plus it has it's share of cracks. Also, does anybody know how much
a rear deck costs? I didn't realize how much the fabric had faded until
looking in the picture the difference between the exposed part and the
part covered by the grill.

Richard, Very Nice! I have the same cocomats in my 500 SEL
Black/Palomino. It is really hard to tell somebody what high quality
these mats are made. The Nak was a good choice as well.I know you are
pleased with your choices. Good work! Jim Alex

Oh, and I forgot to ask, is that even zebrano wood around the climate
control? All the wood in the car is original, but this piece looks
nothing like the pieces anywhere else.

I know that the Nakamichi cd-400 was recommended to me here by somebody
who was considering it, so I figured I'd link to the pictures I took to
help him decide (my memory is terrible, so I don't remember who it was).
My jaspe cocomats from www.cocomats.com also arrived yesterday so there
are pictures of that too. So here it is
