[W126 Coupe] tornado air twister

Ah, yes, fluid dynamics.

My favorite liquid for demonstration purposes: BEER

Normal operation:
Take a beer bottle, remove cap and turn bottle upside down. It is a waste of
precious beer, I know, but we have to make some sacrifices for science. To
make you feel better, use the kind of beer you don't like (In my case that
would be any light beer) or practice with water a few times.
Back to our experiment: Use a stopwatch to determine how long it takes the
bottle to empty.

Vortex:
Slightly more challenging. Take cap offf beer bottle. Make the beer swirl in
the bottle and then turn it upside down. Time the event. If you do this
right, you should see a significant improvement (faster) in emptying the
bottle.

Turbo:
Very advanced. Experienced scientists only. Take cap off bottle. Put the
bottle to you mouth and your lips completely around the bottle opening. Use
your index finger and thumb to secure your lips around the bottle neck, we
don't want any pressure leaks here, and block the bottle opening with you
tongue.
Now, in one fluid motion thrust you head back, thereby turning the bottle
upside down, and swirl the bottle. The pressure in the bottle will build up
almost instantaneously. The pressure will force you tongue back and the beer
will "shoot" straight into your stomach.
Have a friend time the event. If executed correctly, it will take less than
two seconds to empty the bottle. Very experienced users come very close to
less than one second.

Go science!

Axel J. Wulff
