As long as you're draining the coolant, you might want to inspect the coolant inlet neck on the radiator. Pop the top hose off and see if the neck has a metal reinforcement sleeve in it. Most late model or replacement radiator upgrades will have this. If not, you might want to consider reinforcing the neck as this is a notorious weak link on these cars. There are many ways to do this short of replacing the radiator. I used a male-to-male metal pipe nipple which had just enough bite to thread into the soft plastic of the neck. I put over 100,000 miles on the car with it before I sold it without a problem. Of course if your radiator is very old and had questionable care as far as coolant is concerned, it may be worth it to replace it with an new one with the reinforced neck. Either way, its cheap insurance against failure that could cook your engine if you don't catch it quickly when it fails. And it will fail.
